Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
